About the Contributors
Erin Trapani, Broadcasting 2
I am currently a junior here at Marist High School. This is my third year contributing to MHS Media through our club, Broadcasting 1 and now Broadcasting 2. I have done photo journalism classes, script writing, and on-camera courses at DePaul University with professionals such as Carol Marin, Lisa Parker, and Chuck Goudie. I hope to double major in Broadcast Journalism and get my BA in Musical Arts. In my spare time, I enjoy theater, vocal performance, and playing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music on the piano.
Gianna Bonafilia, Broadcasting 2
I am a senior year at Marist High School. I have taken Broadcasting 1 and now I’m in Broadcasting 2 and Journalism 1. I am also involved in clubs and sports here at Marist, including cross country and track. Out of school, I enjoy hanging out with friends and traveling. After high school, I plan to go to college and continue to study journalism.
Molly Haynes, Broadcasting 1
I am a junior at Marist High School and I am currently in Broadcasting 1, although I have been active in the Broadcasting CBrlub since freshman year. I am on the varsity tennis team playing 1st doubles, and I also do track and field, running the 200 meter and doing long and triple jump. I am also involved in Model UN club and student ambassadors here at Marist. In my free time, I enjoy riding my bike, reading, and doing puzzles. After high school I plan to major in Education and/or Communication, either becoming an elementary school teacher or a news anchor.
Jack Kwilose, Broadcasting 2

I am currently a student in Broadcasting 2 and still involved in the club. I also participate in Life Skills Club, Model UN, 1 Book 1 Marist, and tennis. In my free time I go out with my friends, I read history books, bake, garden, and go thrifting.
Phillip Bartolini, Broadcasting 2
I’m a junior at Marist and have been involved in Broadcasting for a few years in the class and club. Freshman year I took Broadcasting 1 and now junior year I am taking Broadcasting 2. I also contribute regularly to MHS Studio Magazine with the sports segment through Broadcasting Club. Some of the things I enjoy doing outside of school are golfing, watching baseball, and hanging out with friends. I am very interested in studying business in college, but I have not decided where to attend yet.
Ronan Carmody, Broadcasting 2
I’m a senior here at Marist High School and after the school day I go to football practice for the Sophomores because I’m one of the managers for them. I also do Broadcasting Club because I think it’s really fun. I’m interested in a ton of pop culture franchises like Marvel, Star Wars, Power Rangers, and DC Comics. I’m taking this class because I aspire to be a filmmaker/actor. I have a huge love for movies and TV shows. Some of my favorites include Top Gun Maverick, Superman, Cars, and many more! My plan for the future is to go to DePaul University in Chicago and study filmmaking and acting because that’s my dream. A piece of advice I have for anyone reading this is that you should follow your own dream and make the best out of your life no matter the cost. Here’s a quote from a character that I look up to: “Your future hasn’t been written yet. No one’s has. Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one, all of you.” -Doc Brown from Back to the Future.
Patrick Ready, Advanced Broadcasting Lab
I am currently a senior at Marist. I have been involved with Marist broadcasting for 3 years, taking Broadcasting 1 and 2, as well as the Advanced Lab course. Last year, I also worked as one of the analysts in the sports segment of our MHS Studio Magazine show. Besides broadcasting, here at Marist I play on the Varsity Golf team, and am in the Investment Club. Outside of school, I like to play golf, watch sports, and hangout with friends. After Marist, I plan on attending either UW Madison or Indiana University majoring in business.
