Leo Hughes, Advanced Broadcaster
I am currently a senior at Marist in Advanced Broadcasting and Video Production. I have contributed to the Marist Broadcasting program throughout my time here at Marist for the last three years. In my spare time, I enjoy going for bike rides around my neighborhood and spending quality time with friends and family. Next year, I plan on studying marketing or another area in business.
Erin Trapani, Advanced Broadcaster/Journalist
I am currently a senior here at Marist High School. I’m excited to be contributing for a fourth year to MHS Media and MHS Studio Magazine! I have been an officer of our Broadcasting Club for three years, been MMEA nominated, and I have been awarded Best Host ‘24, ‘25, and ‘26, Best Newscast ‘25, ‘26, and Best Horror Film ‘26. I am an aspiring broadcast journalist and plan to pursue this major in college with a minor in political science. Along with learning from our Emmy award-winning journalist, Ms. Carlson here at Marist, I have also attended “J Days” camp at DePaul University twice, learning from Chicago-based professionals like Carol Marin, Ben Bradley, Lisa Parker and Chuck Goudie. In my free time, I enjoy participating in the Marist Theatre Guild, vocal performance, and spending time with my friends.
Hayden Krupa, Editor in Chief/Journalism 2 Writer
I am Hayden Krupa, Senior at Marist. This is my 2nd year as a writer and 1st as an editor for MHS Media. I plan to major in sports journalism and I dream to one day cover Chicago sports for a living. I also want to play college hockey. I am a student ambassador for Marist, member of NHS, 2 sport Varsity athlete in hockey and lacrosse, and the commentator for Sandburg hockey.
Phillip Bartolini, Broadcasting 2
I’m a junior at Marist and have been involved in Broadcasting for a few years in the class and club. Freshman year I took Broadcasting 1 and now junior year I am taking Broadcasting 2. I also contribute regularly to MHS Studio Magazine with the sports segment through Broadcasting Club. Some of the things I enjoy doing outside of school are golfing, watching baseball, and hanging out with friends. I am very interested in studying business in college, but I have not decided where to attend yet.
Luke Cosme, MHS Studio
I am a senior here at Marist. I took Broadcasting 1 as a junior and now I am the president of the Broadcasting Club here. I plan on attending Carthage College in the fall and plan on playing football there. I would like to major in communications with a minor in sports business. In my free time I like to hangout with my friends and family.
Grace Tresch, MHS Studio
I am a freshman here at Marist. I graduated from Mount Greenwood. I am a broadcasting 1 student and a part of the broadcasting club. I am also on the cheer team here at Marist. In my free time I like to go shopping, hangout with friends and bake.
Molly Haynes, Advanced Broadcaster
I am a senior now at Marist in Advanced Broadcasting after taking Broadcasting 1 and an officer in the Broadcasting Club. At the MHS Media Awards, I was awarded Best Music Video and Best Host. I am a state qualifier on the tennis team and do track and many other clubs here as well. In my free time I enjoy reading, doing puzzles, and riding my bike to the lake. I am also a big fan of Chicago sports, especially the White Sox and the Bears. In the coming years I plan on majoring in elementary education or physical education.
Sam Quiroz, MHS Studio
My name is Sam Quiroz, and I am a senior here at Marist. This is my first year with the MHS studio, where I anchor, produce, and interview for the Marist news. I have learned many great things and can’t wait to learn more. It would be my dream to one day cover the news in Chicago. Here at Marist, I am a student ambassador; I take part in the senior service program, and the best for last… broadcast club!
Maeve McGinnis, MHS Studio
I went to Mount Greenwood elementary school and I’m a broadcasting 1 student. In my free time, I like to hangout with friends and family. I am really glad I chose to take broadcasting because it’s so fun!
