Marist Wrestlers Among Best in State

Marist has a state champion and three other placers for wrestling. Eight of the 14 varsity wrestlers competed in the state competition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign over the weekend. Four came home with medals.

Will Denny took first place, Michael Esteban and Ricky Ericksen took second, and Donavon Allen took fourth. All four are juniors.

My name is Vinny Quiroz and I am a sophmore. This is my second year writing for MHS Media. I went to St. Barnabas and outside of school I play baseball and golf. My favorite teams are the Cubs and Bears. I am excited to be in Journalism 2.
