Band Brings Disney Magic To Stage
Marist High School will host its 61st spring band concert this Wednesday, April 29 at 6 p.m. in the main gym. Tickets are $5 and available at the door, with free admission for faculty and staff.
The band will play a variety of different music showcasing the vast amount of talent they have to offer.
“Some classical music, band music, some pop music,” said Band Director Andrew Creagh. “So a little bit of everything.”
To commemorate their spring break trip to Disney World, they are bringing some of the music home.
“Obviously it will have some Disney music because we went to Disney world,” said Creagh.
Tickets are available now for Wednesday’s show.
Creativity On Display At Senior Art Show
Marist High School will host its senior showcase art show on Thursday, April 30 in the art studio, featuring a collection of work created by graduating seniors.
“My graphic design course, digital photography 2, along with my AP 2D design course,” said Art Department Chair Rita Hoffmann. “Mr. Keane’s drawing and painting 2 course, AP studio and his AP studio honors course.”
The exhibit highlights a range of art from digital photos, ceramics, painting and much more.
“They are picking all of their favorite pieces,” says Hoffmann. “Their best portfolio pieces from all of their years at Marist.
The showcase celebrates the achievements of senior artists and offers the school community a chance to support and appreciate all their hard work from the year.
“Our seniors will be wearing something that shows off their own artistic style,” says Hoffmann.
Seniors were encouraged to invite their families.
