About the Contributors
Erin Trapani, Broadcasting 2
I am currently a junior here at Marist High School. This is my third year contributing to MHS Media through our club, Broadcasting 1 and now Broadcasting 2. I have done photo journalism classes, script writing, and on-camera courses at DePaul University with professionals such as Carol Marin, Lisa Parker, and Chuck Goudie. I hope to double major in Broadcast Journalism and get my BA in Musical Arts. In my spare time, I enjoy theater, vocal performance, and playing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music on the piano.
Kiefer Klug, Broadcasting 2
I’m a 17-year-old senior at Marist. I’ve done Broadcasting before last year and I’m here now to help improve my skills. Outside of school, I either sit around and do nothing or I decide to be productive and enjoy some of my hobbies. My hobbies include working out, reading, writing short stories, listening to music, playing video games, building model kits, and playfully bullying my friend Ronan. I absolutely love the manga BERSERK, do not get me started on that. I do work at Midnight Terror haunted house in Oak Lawn so come visit me – or not, not my problem. I still have dreams about my fish, Oscar “Show them what the Band of the Hawk is made of!” -Griffith
Patrick Ready, Advanced Broadcasting Lab
I am currently a senior at Marist. I have been involved with Marist broadcasting for 3 years, taking Broadcasting 1 and 2, as well as the Advanced Lab course. Last year, I also worked as one of the analysts in the sports segment of our MHS Studio Magazine show. Besides broadcasting, here at Marist I play on the Varsity Golf team, and am in the Investment Club. Outside of school, I like to play golf, watch sports, and hangout with friends. After Marist, I plan on attending either UW Madison or Indiana University majoring in business.
Phillip Bartolini, Broadcasting 2
I’m a junior at Marist and have been involved in Broadcasting for a few years in the class and club. Freshman year I took Broadcasting 1 and now junior year I am taking Broadcasting 2. I also contribute regularly to MHS Studio Magazine with the sports segment through Broadcasting Club. Some of the things I enjoy doing outside of school are golfing, watching baseball, and hanging out with friends. I am very interested in studying business in college, but I have not decided where to attend yet.
Maja Vucinic, Broadcasting 2
I am currently a sophomore at Marist. I’ve been involved in broadcasting since last year, and currently love it. In my free time, I dance, and mess around on acoustic guitar, bass guitar, and Croatian instruments, as well as hanging out with friends. I am super excited to spend my high school years making memories.
Calvin Humphrey, Broadcasting 2
I’m sophomore attending Marist High School. This is my second year doing broadcasting, and I’m back again learning more things about media life. I enjoy playing basketball, video games, and listening to music. I also like watching cartoons because it keeps me close with my childhood and I value that a lot. My plans in the future are to go to a great Division 1 school and pursue a career in professional basketball.
Evie DiFilippo, Broadcasting 2
I am a senior here at Marist and I am in Broadcasting 2, National Honor Society, student ambassadors, and I am the goalie for the varsity girls lacrosse team. Outside of school, I love to watch movies and tv shows. Some of my current favorites are Get Out, Donnie Darko, Vampire Diaries and American Horror Story. I am also always listening to music (especially country, like Dylan Gossett and Megan Moroney), baking, and reading. In the future, I hope to attend a good university and major in psychology.
