About the Contributors
Molly Haynes, Broadcasting 1
I am a junior at Marist High School and I am currently in Broadcasting 1, although I have been active in the Broadcasting CBrlub since freshman year. I am on the varsity tennis team playing 1st doubles, and I also do track and field, running the 200 meter and doing long and triple jump. I am also involved in Model UN club and student ambassadors here at Marist. In my free time, I enjoy riding my bike, reading, and doing puzzles. After high school I plan to major in Education and/or Communication, either becoming an elementary school teacher or a news anchor.
Erin Trapani, Broadcasting 2
I am currently a junior here at Marist High School. This is my third year contributing to MHS Media through our club, Broadcasting 1 and now Broadcasting 2. I have done photo journalism classes, script writing, and on-camera courses at DePaul University with professionals such as Carol Marin, Lisa Parker, and Chuck Goudie. I hope to double major in Broadcast Journalism and get my BA in Musical Arts. In my spare time, I enjoy theater, vocal performance, and playing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music on the piano.
Phillip Bartolini, Broadcasting 2
I’m a junior at Marist and have been involved in Broadcasting for a few years in the class and club. Freshman year I took Broadcasting 1 and now junior year I am taking Broadcasting 2. I also contribute regularly to MHS Studio Magazine with the sports segment through Broadcasting Club. Some of the things I enjoy doing outside of school are golfing, watching baseball, and hanging out with friends. I am very interested in studying business in college, but I have not decided where to attend yet.
Aliyah Glass, Journalism and Media 2 Writer
I am a sophomore here at Marist. I love to journal about my life and sing, either at church or in theater. They’ve been a recent hobby of mine. I love all animals. They mean so much to me. My favorite book is “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” A hero I look up to is probably Lana Del Ray. She’s my favorite music artist. She never fails to amaze me with her lyrics and music. One of my favorite movies is “Alice in Wonderland,” but I love all versions of the story. Alice is my favorite fictional character. I once played her in my school play in second grade and would love to play her once again.
Leo Labon, MHS Studio
I am a freshman and a graduate of Christ the King. I have enjoyed my experiences here so far. I play basketball and I run for the track team. I have a lot of friends inside and outside of Marist. I like to play video games, and I guarantee that I have above average skills when it comes to Call of Duty.
Sam Quiroz, MHS Studio
My name is Sam Quiroz, and I am a senior here at Marist. This is my first year with the MHS studio, where I anchor, produce, and interview for the Marist news. Here at Marist, I am a student ambassador; I take part in the senior service program, and the best for last… broadcast club!
