The RedHawks take on Richwoods in the IHSA 4A super sectional championship at CEFCU arena at Illinois State University Monday at 7 p.m. for an opportunity to be the first Marist basketball team to make the final four.
The team defeated Homewood-Flossmore on Friday to win their first sectional title since 1981. They were led by senior Charles Barnes Jr., who had 31 points and has been the top option for Marist all season long.
The school has announced that Tuesday, March 10 will be a 10 a.m. late start in anticipation of RedHawk Rowdies making the trip down to Bloomington.
