The movie Paddington is an adorable version of the Michael Bond book, A Bear Called Paddington. The movie was originally made for kids, but I think any age group would love this movie. This movie is not only funny but can also teach people about the importance of being yourself.
Paddington is a bear from Peru. He moves to London after an earthquake destroys his home. This causes Paddington to take on the adventure of finding a new home and family.
When Paddington first arrives in London most people ignore his attempts to connect, until he meets the Brown family. At the start of the movie the Brown family are indifferent towards Paddington, but as they get to know him more they end up accepting him into their family.
I first watched this movie in 2014 when I was only five years old. I watched it again recently and loved it even more than the first time I watched it. My favorite part of this movie was watching Paddington grow and become more confident as he manages life in a new city.
The best part of this movie is how it perfectly balances emotion and comedy. There are a lot of funny scenes, but there are also heartfelt moments, like when Paddington starts to feel like part of the Brown family.
Paddington is an inspiring character, even though most people in London treat him like an outsider he stays true to himself, and finds a family that appreciates him for who he is.
Visually the movie looks amazing, The special effects bring the movie to life. At times throughout the movie I forgot Paddington wasn’t a real bear because he looks so realistic. The colors in the movie are bright and cheerful, matching the happy tone of the movie.
I loved the cast in this movie, especially Nicole Kidman, who plays the villain, and Samuel Joslin, who plays Jonathan. Both actors do an amazing job making the dialogue come across as even more funny.
All in all, I think this action comedy is a great movie to watch as a family. Between the cute bear, hilarious dialogue, and great actors, this movie is perfect for all age groups. I always recommend this film to anyone who needs a feel good movie. I give the movie Paddington a five out of five RedHawks. You can watch it on Netflix, Peacock, or Prime video.
