John Wick Chapter 1 is a movie that I can watch for years straight. This movie has me on the edge of my seat and had my heart pounding while I was watching. At the end of this movie, I realized how great of an actor Keanu Reeves really is.
I watched this movie on Hulu, but you can also watch it on Apple TV and Amazon Prime.
This movie is for more mature audiences because of its killing scenes, use of harsh language, and blood. This movie is not for people with weak stomachs and younger kids.
John Wick is a retired hitman. Wick was one of the most wanted and famous people at the time. He never wanted to go back to killing until his dog was murdered.
This is an action film that I will forever love. It’s suspenseful in 100 different ways. I love how good the CGI and acting is. I will never get tired watching this thriller. Reeves’ acting perfectly shows how amazing his movie is and never fails to bring thrills.
The setting of this movie is great. From the action shots, to the downtown scenery, this set never bores me. Wick’s house is a million dollar mansion which I always found amusing because of the decor. Most action movie enthusiasts would love this movie.
The fight scenes make it a thousand times better. When the movie starts, Wick is at home when a couple of invaders raid his house. Wick then proceeds to fight all of them off and kill each of them. I don’t think they could have made a better opening scene than this one right here. It gives you a suspenseful feeling and makes your heart pound. This scene always was my favorite.
Reeves’ acting stood out to me the most, from his impressive athletic ability, to his amazing action scenes, they couldn’t have picked a better actor for this role. His way of making a film this great is unbelievable. In my opinion, without Reeves, this movie wouldn’t be a fraction of what it is today.
When I sat down and watched this movie for the first time, I was 13. I remember it was one of the best films I had ever watched. When I want to watch a movie with my parents or friends, it’s my go to.
On a scale of 1-5, I would rank this movie 5 RedHawks. This is one of the best films to ever come out in my lifetime and I will never stop watching it.
