Marist girls volleyball travels down Pulaski street to 99th tonight to take on the Mother Mcauley Mighty Macs in one of Illinois’ most storied rivalries.
Year after year, this matchup brings together not just two of the premier programs in the state, but two of the very best in the country.
This season’s clash is as highly anticipated as ever, with both teams being nationally ranked. The RedHawks come in at 9th in the National Girls Volleyball Rankings by MaxPreps after a successful weekend at the Durango Fall Classic in Vegas, while the Macs come in at 16th after suffering their first loss at the hands of Loyola Academy Friday.
The first serve is scheduled at 6:30, with tickets required in advance. School officials are urging fans to secure tickets early, as a sellout is expected.
