Marist Clubs are starting up this week and the options are endless. Marist has many clubs to choose from including Broadcasting Club, Yearbook Club, and Women Empowerment Club.
Yearbook Club gives students the opportunity to design and craft that year’s book.
“Our first meeting of the school year is going to be on Tuesday September 9th and will take place in room CS2,” says Ms. Rita Hoffmann, yearbook club moderator. “It will start a few minutes after school, so come on over after your eighth period.”
Also meeting for the first time Tuesday is the Women Empowerment Club, which focuses on helping women and children in need. Members will meet in room 132 at 2:45 p.m. The club moderator is Ms. Tracy Amato.
Broadcasting Club held its first meeting Thursday, September 4.
“I am excited to produce new broadcasting content with the students for our YouTube channel, MHS Studio Chicago,” says Broadcasting Club Moderator Ms. Susan Carlson. The club produces a variety show with interviews, a sports segment, and a lot of student interaction.
Most clubs at Marist will be starting within the next few weeks and students are able to sign up for any club whenever they would like. Members say joining clubs is a great way to make friends, get involved, be creative, and have fun.
