Marist High School will host Back to School Night on Thursday September 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. This event is only for parents and guardians with the purpose of giving parents a chance to meet their child’s teachers as well as take a look into their school day and see what the rest of the year has in store.
“It’s a chance for parents to have the daily experience of a RedHawk and see what it’s like for their sons or daughters to come to Marist,” said Ms. Susan Carlson, communications teacher.
Parents are asked to enter through the Main Gym entrance where they can pick up their child’s schedule and head to their first period. Parking will be available in the school parking lots or the Worth Township parking lot located on 116th and Springfield.
At the end of the event, freshmen parents are welcome to go to the tribute room located in the science wing for a social hosted by the Parents Club. This will give new Marist families an opportunity to meet one another. It will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Back to School night is an event that gets lots of positive feedback every year because it connects teachers and parents in their common goal of supporting their RedHawk throughout the year.
The event is not for one-on-one meetings; parent-teacher conferences will take place on Thursday, October 2.
