Several dozen juniors and their families gathered for a sentimental ring ceremony Wednesday, March 12, in the Marist cafeteria.
“Receiving my ring with my friends and classmates means it’s real. We are starting to get to the final stages of high school,” said junior Allie Butler.
The evening began with mass, followed by the distribution of class rings by Principal Mrs. Meg Dunneback, and then wrapped up with speeches about high school. Junior George Kottaras was among the speakers. He talked about their time at Marist and how friendships have grown over these past three years.
“I’m scared and sad, but happy at the same time,” said Butler.
