Catholic school week is an annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States, designated this year from January 27 through January 31, 2025. Marist will be marking the week with activities each day.
The goal at Marist is to encourage students and faculty to get more involved in and around the school with fun events.
“Catholic schools week is important just to highlight the benefits of going to a Catholic school, to practice your faith in a safe space, and just appreciate how those before us have paved the way,” said Ms. Nora Doyle, Activities and Athletics Coordinator.
Catholic schools week is designed to help schools connect with prospective families, donors, educators, and community members. Marist uses this week to show students and families what makes Marist so unique.
Among the activities, students can pay a dollar to vote for one selected teacher to get a pie in the face. Beverley Bakery is also involved in the celebration, by donating donuts for all students during Friday’s lunch periods.
Here is a break down of the week’s activities:
Monday – Bingo at Lunch
Tuesday – All School Mass and Karaoke
Wednesday – “Pie” a Teacher, Wear Grammar School Shirts
Thursday – Teacher Appreciation Day
Friday – Student Appreciation/Donut Day
