Campus ministry is currently running a Christmas gift card drive for a charity that helps people who may be struggling this season due to high medical bills.
“Christmas Without Cancer is a local foundation that runs out of the neighborhoods here, and the money collected will go to families that currently have a family member in their house dealing with cancer,” said Ms. Coyne.
Marist took part in collecting gift cards for this foundation last year and aims for even more donations this Christmas season.
“Last year we raised four thousand dollars worth of gift cards and this year we would love to have a few thousand dollars more donated to spread across multiple struggling families”
They are looking for gift cards from grocery stores, pharmacies, restaurants, rideshare services, or gas stations.
Donations will be accepted in the Student Life Office through December 19.
