Suits is an exhilarating legal drama that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats with every episode.
Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) is a young man living in New York, who just so happens to have a photographic memory. He accidentally walks into an interview to become an associate of New York’s best lawyer, Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht). Mike eventually gets the job after wowing Harvey in his interview despite not going to Harvard, or any law school as a matter of fact.
Suits is a great show to watch for teenagers and adults alike if you are someone interested in watching TV shows about law or just need a great show to binge when you are bored. After watching the entire series, I would highly recommend it.
My favorite thing about Suits is how every single episode kept me entertained and at the edge of my seat wanting to watch more. The show’s strongest aspects are its blend of humor, suspense, and drama.
An example of the suspense and drama is the various high pressure situations that happen every episode. Characters in the show have to make morally complex choices, that often leads to someone bending the law to do the right thing.
Suits takes place in New York City, a symbol of the fast-paced and high stakes that drives the series. It is also one of the world’s leading financial and legal hubs which adds to the plot.
The main emphasis in the show is on relationships. This theme is seen early in the series starting with Ross being an apprentice to Specter. There are many more relationships that are important to the plot and progress as the show moves on, such as Harvey and Louis Litt (another lawyer played by Rick Hoffman) Harvey and Donna (his secretary played by Sarah Rafferty), and lastly, Mike and Rachel Zane (paralegal played by Meghan Markle).
The acting is outstanding right from the start. As the series progresses, emotions intensify, and what unfolds is so immersive that you quickly forget the actors are playing roles.
Season 5 is my favorite in the entire series because it feels like the climax that all the previous seasons were building toward. The tension and suspense of the earlier seasons came to head in this season.
My enjoyment of the show slowly declined after season 5. I thought the show got a little repetitive at times. This is still my favorite TV show of all time and I give it a rating of 4.5 out of 5 RedHawks. You can stream Suits on Netflix and Peacock.
