Marist welcomed back sixth, seventh, and eighth graders for the first shadow day of the 2024-2025 school year on September 13th.
Mrs. Callahan, from the admissions office, says the success of these days is due to a lot of work.
“We know that it takes not only the admissions office, but teachers, students, and staff to welcome all these students throughout the fall. So we are excited to welcome and see new faces at Marist,” she said.
Hosts feel that this is an opportunity for them to show off their school pride.
“Don’t think twice. It’s a great school to connect with people, has good academics and amazing athletics. You won’t regret choosing Marist,” said sophomore Caelin O’Donnell.
Feeling welcome is a huge part of the Marist community. Shadows feel like they are already a part of the Marist family.
“Everybody feels so welcoming, and the teachers are very nice . I plan on coming to Marist to follow in both of my sister’s footsteps of loving Marist,”said shadow Nora O’Donnell.
For the first shadow Friday of the year, the band was at lunch letting students and shadows try any instrument. They got a feel of what having lunch as a RedHawk would be like.
“We are super excited, we are looking forward to a great fall welcoming a lot of future RedHawks,” said Mrs. Callahan.
