Faculty, staff, and students filled the halls of Marist High School as the 2026-2027 school year kicked off on Thursday morning, August 20. With new classes, new rules, and new faces, the school year is officially underway.
“I am really happy to be back in a routine,” said senior Erin Trapani. “Summer was really fun, but it’s nice to be back here at Marist.”
Many students looked forward to reconnecting with classmates and catching up in the halls.
“Everyone is so hyped to be back,” said senior Maeve Farrell. “I’m so happy to see everyone back in the halls that I couldn’t see over the summer.”
Freshmen had their first day two days prior, providing them with a chance to explore the hallways on their own without the full student body. They also attended a club fair, introducing the many opportunities Marist offers to get involved beyond the classroom.
With Friday night lights, fall play rehearsals, and much more in full swing, RedHawks are encouraged to make it a memorable year.
